Well winter is here and it's always my favourite time to get out in the bush.  However freezing cold nights can be a thing of the past with your own personal 12 volt electric blanket.

Our American cousins sometimes amaze me with their gadgets

A good sleeping bag or two with good loft together with that kerchief & you should be good to go at close to 0'C.  Best with one sleeping bag below you and one over you.  That insulated loft takes your body heat and makes you quite toasty, IMO.  I don't really need heat in my camper to sleep until it's well below freezing.  Insulation takes care of all of that.
