Finally finished my trailer, not that it took that long.
Whacked the final coat of paint on this morning and took some happy snaps this afternoon;

Winch the boat on and Voila!

Had to buy the winch, winch cable, wheels and rollers, came to approx. $180. Rest was sponsored by work (nice of 'em). Hence the sky blue colour, not my first choice but hey, its free.

Very similar to wheelbarrow wheels, just a bit bigger. Got them from Supercheap Auto, $50 for the pair.
No I wont be able to register it, you can buy registered folding trailers with suspension and all (but you still wouldnt want to go to far with them I wouldnt think and they start to get a bit bulky then). Saw one on the Trading Post sight not long ago for about $1200 registered.
All I want mate is to get it from my campsite to the water and back each day without having to sculldrag it across rocks etc. No Rego needed off the beaten track.

Thanks guys
The winch post is welded in place Skip, I just designed it specifically for my little punt. She's not a sea boat but its light, fits on my trailer and gets me up the creeks fishing and crabbing.
I made the trailer in three pieces so I can pack it in different places wherever I have room in the trailer, but I am looking at designing a rack to carry it outide the trailer. Only trouble is Im getting a bit limited for space to put it on the outside, not long ago I added this rack to carry my little motor on the drawbar,
http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pdDTZktbe4s4QHJCGU2AZ2OCygdTAsnFqf_GyaTnPmkDau...
there is a little room there between the trailer and the toolbox (too tight of a squeeze I think) but I havent worried too much about it yet. Just glad to have it done, as you said it'll save the back.

OK Robbo,

If you convert the motor bracket so the 45 Deg Stays are cut say half way then are dropped vertically to the drawbar then move you toolbox forward a few inches and them make up a frame using a length of Galvanised Purlin or "u" shaped beam secured across the drawbar then the trailer would fit into that no sweat. You may want to make a head stock for the tray & your post carrier secured to that. It would be easy to make a bolt on offset so the motor would secure a few inches further forward also.

Not my business but it could help in some way Smiley

I have been busy converting my Camper to make use of available space. Smiley
