Mate of mine returned from South Africa with a gift.
He is aware of my camp oven cooking addiction.

...

Suitable for over a bed of coals where no contact is required. Radiant heat. Easier to bring fresh coals or remove as the case may be?

...

The other thingamajig..used firstly as a lid lifer/remover.
Very stable in its action.

...

Then doubles as a CO lid stand. No need to look for somewhere clean to put the lid down.

...

I'll use her on Sunday Muzz.
You can get a good look at her and get some design ideas going.

A nifty stand and lid holder. Will be interested to see it at COG.

Its a good unit.
Folds flat and sits nicely in the top of CO carry bag.
Took a while for the penny to drop on how the lifter/rest had to be used.

Hi Aaaaaaartyy

I didnt take photos of your lifter for nothing at the COG. There just happened to be a bit of stainless bar laying around at work so I knocked this one up. Im still working on a bit different design for the 20"er, a lot larger of course and two handholds for a bit of leverage.

Sorry there are no photos of it in action but my COs are still packed in the trailer from my trip. Mmmmmm, may do a roast or something tonight, standby.

Well she works a treat Big RT.

http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pzglmHrZHUkK2HMoVkiNsFb9wtmZ4eih81Q3oVJlK0Gk6L...

Got myself a little pork roast and I remembered your request about the beadlighter and someone also mentioned beads going out.

Here is the little stand I made for my 12" so the beads can breathe.

The beads are just right all grey, bottom ones red as. Have been using the little technique someone mentioned giving the chimney a little flip to move the top beads to the bottom to get burning betterer.

The little Albion already has his legs and the stack is complete.

If only I could post a sample of the smell eminating from this thing.
Will update a bit later if I can hold off eating long enough to get a photo. I know its a boring old roast but the piccies are relevant to a few questions raised lately.
