Here's a few pics of the three ovens a scored at an auction on Saturday. A bit of mis-matching going on...maybe I'll get the other halves next time.

I ended up with a good 12"er with long legs and a snug fitting lid, I like it.

10" U.M.I Brisbane base with a 10" Metters lid

and a not sure of the base 12"er with a Broken 12" Albion lid, it's not a real good fit.

Cheers

Jono

Jono

Going by the ears, number 1 base looks just like my 10" Furphy.  Have only ever seen those ears on a Furphy myself.

The ears are alike but this is the first oven I've seen with legs like this

What do ya reckon? Any Furphy ovens have legs like this?

I've seen a few legs in my time, pots we're talkin', but never seen rectangular legs like those Jono, don't think it's a Furphy. The one with the long legs could be a Albion but can't say for sure and its hard to identify the others without having a closer look.
You've done well, one thing I can tell you is that they are all old and very collectible, should look good when you clean 'em up.

pd.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Re: Albion lid. As a collectable oven would it be best left as is or should I have a go at fixing it??? Your thoughts?
In other words would fixing it effect the value of the oven in any way?

Regards

Jono

Same as PD.  Never seen legs like that on a CO before.  Now that is unique.
