G'day All,

Just putting it out there. I reckon a COG up here in Sunny Central Queensland would be a hit (especially with the northerners). I would happily put my 25 acres up for the venue.
I'm thinking sometime in the first half of next year, maybe a long weekend, open for discussion. Lets start throwing some ideas around, wotta ya reckon???

Smiley

Cheers

Jono

As we have seen mostly the coast of Queensland I am sure I could talk the MOTH into taking a trip that way if it doesnt conflict with anything else he has in mind.  We are retired so having it on a long weekend is not a concern to us just the date and time of year to make a trip of it.

Hey Jono

I'm there mate.
Just give me plenty of notice so I can arm wrestle the roster clerk.
Might even try and make a week of it touring around Byfield and environs.
Put me down for a Curry.

Had another thought, Hedlow Creek may be a nice backdrop for it, Plenty of water for a swim or a canoe with the billy lids, bit of fishing. No power there though, Ha didn't think that would be a problem with all the flash camping gear out this day and age. Thinking maybe the start of a school holiday period so we could COG it then head north, west, south whatever for the break. Its the gateway to every where here.

Cheers

Jono

Where is Hedlow Creek?

Distance and direction please.
Your right, power is not a requirement.
Can you camp overnight there?

Hedlow Creek is about 20kms to the North Eastish of Rockhampton. It is a Private Cattle Property but camping the night is more than welcome. It really is a great spot.
