This pot is suffering from some rust.
Is anybody familiar with the name etc.
Is it really collectable.
Its pickup only and may suit Victorians only

Being only a young whippersnapper I dont know much about the antique status of it.
The base looks pretty cool, like the handle.....but shes only got a tin lid.
Maybe its not original.
Good old Decker should know, myself....dont like it.

May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven

Aart, these pots are boilers and not camp ovens, mostly made in England they came with tin lids which rusted out PDQ. They were used for making jam etc over a fuel stove.
I called into an antique shop in Castlemaine in May and they had quite a few boilers and dozens of lids, sold separately.
They are not hard to come by so don't bring the same sort of $$$ that COs do..

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Thanks for the feedback mate.
Can't imagine they are much good for the type of cooking I do.
Mind you, probably be good for boiling up a pot of beans or carrots.
