The little fella and I went fishing at North Keppel Island today. He showed me up with his first ever fish, a beautiful Coral Trout. We couldn't find a single Mackerel so that was all we brought home. Top day out.

Cheers

Jono

Wow, nice not so little trout.  Good catch for the young fella.  Still reckon they take a lot of beating when it comes to the taste buds.

Nice day on the water as well.

That'll happen all the time Jono-Get used to it. (Shown up by kids)
I also went fishing last night and also got shown up. I'm out to wash the boat now and will get some snaps to share.

I remember when my Daughter was little the kindy teacher asked all the kids in the class to stand up in front of all the parents, teachers etc (about 80 people present) and tell why they were so proud of their dad. So there was a range of things discussed from who they were & what they were and my daughter's turn came up and she said
quote "I love my dad and am proud of him because he can get a whole gingernut in his mouth and chew it with his mouth closed" every person looked at me and bellowed out with laughter. It was gold.

All the best

G'day Jono,

They are Tuskfish Jono. You can tell them apart by the fangs. The Tuskfish has Canine teeth and the Parrotfish has a beak inside the lips. I love to eat them too Jono with the flesh falling away in large flakes.

All the best
Skip. Smiley

Ps No sign of Mackeral here either mate.
