This is one of the first things I cooked in a camp oven
And still one of my favourites I still cook this at least twice a month great for smokko on a hot day nice and chilled

I wish I'd found this sooner TBF I too cooked this at broke but in small individual pie tins but after reading your recipe I think they missed out somewhat at least we are keeping the legacy alive

Good to see mate.
We often have it for dinner at night, served warm, chips from local take away and a salad beside.
Like you wrote, great chilled for smoko next day.
