They look great and are hard to beat on flavour.

I do much the same but throw in any left over red wine and the MOTH likes mushrooms which have to be left large or they disappear.

Once I brown the shanks, I take them out and slightly brown the veggies as well.

If in a hurry I cook for about 1 1/2 hours in the pressure cooker.

Mate doin' it right now but on the stove...Didn't have enough time as Mrs. was late back with lamb.

Smells bloody great, tastes bloody great and in about 3/4 hr we will tuck into it with a bitta mash and some greens..

Yummo cannot wait OR to do in the cast Iron next time...

Thanx 4 putting this one up...by the way I made a small change and added about 50ml of white vinegar to give it a bit of a sweet and sour taste.. Works well with this recipe which by the way is on the back of the packet...

Grrr!!! Smiley

Hey CD
Which product are you referring to..the one I used is McCormick..Garlic & Herb Lamb Shank slow cooker mix. Could find no reference to the vinegar.???? Glad you enjoyed it.

mate...mate ....mate!!

Yup I used same 1 but added a wee bit of vinegar towards the end - bout 1/2 hr before end.

This gives it a very but very slight Sweet and Sour tang.. Nothing too noticeable though..Bluddy great it was..Thanx for alerting us - me to this product. Gunna try the others as well.

Grrr!!! Wink
