May your glass be ever full.
May the roof over your head be always strong.
And may you be in heaven
half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

I sent a long query via eBay to the seller of that oven and the reply I got was basically, "Watch on Thursday and all will be revealed."
I don't think it has legs which to me halves its value. jmho.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

A negative answer for sure.  Over here, I ask for more photos of what I want to see and usually they get posted.  How's about someone ask for a pic of the base of the oven?

Cool

Asked for pics of inside and base.  No answer until Thursday I suspect.

My mother-in-law fell down a wishing well, I was amazed.       I never knew they worked.

That looks like a "sprue" mark in the middle. This casting technique was used until the mid-to late 1700s. The next generation of cast iron has the "gate" mark.

So if it is a "sprue" mark then this CO is about 230 to 500 years old. At least the bottom section, the lid could be younger.
