Ok I know what it looks like but dont call the cops yet, its a flavour injector, Im not chasing the dragon.
Ever since I saw these on the Cabelas site I wanted to give one a go.
Did a lamb roast tonight and injected it with a mix of port and crushed garlic and OH MY GOD!!!
Cant wait to try other marinades and even jams injected into roasts.
I didnt post any pics of the roast (seen one, seen em all) pity you cant post a taste test.
Does anyone else use these and have any favourite marinade recipes? I reckon that rum BBQ sauce might be on the cards.

I've seen needles like this also used to inject brine, etc. into the middle of pork to be converted to ham or bacon.

Someone else used them Robbo, I think it might have been Skip who seems to be AWOL at the moment.  If its not its one of the other regulars and no doubt they will be telling you of their success with it.

Hi Robbo,

Carolyn is right I have several of them and regularly do chicken breasts with 'em, try injecting a combination of Lemon Juice & butter(melted) into the breasts then crumb 'em in egg & crushed cornflakes. Slow cooked in a little butter/ghee and bingo the most tender, succulent chicken you have ever eaten.

I also use apple juice into legs of pork. Yummo!! If you want I have a PDF file on marinades to inject.
