I've seen a few people mention adding recipes to thier favourites cookbook, so I was wondering what format you guys use. Electronic or printout for the good old hard copy?
I started doing one in Word and just kept adding to it but its a bit hard to keep track and make different sections.
I was thinking of using Excel and having different pages for the sections.
Soooo what do you all use?

I've been cutting and pasting on a file..
In the near future i will creat a document with page breaks and modify all to same font.
Each page will have a recipe on it.
Hoping to get 100 all up.

10 entree, 10 breads, 60 main meals and 20 desserts or similar.

Put the lot in a plastic leaf folder and store a copy in the kitchen and one in the camper.

I am a long way from being done..  about 2/3 to go.

Aart consider using a laminator rather than the plastic sleeves.  They are much sturdier and you can use a two hole punch and put them in a folder.  Office Works and Big W occasionally have them on sale.  Good for fishing license and all sorts of stuff when you camp.

Robbo, can you tell me the recipe site too please?

Good idea about the laminating for camping.

I am trying to juggle my folders at present.  One folder for tried and tested recipes, one for recipes to try, one for information about food, one for info about growing veggies.  An info-holic.  Most in plastic sleeves, some with alphabet dividers.

Carolyn

I had thought of that...but with 100 expected recipes, 2x each A4 sheet, would add up to 50 laminated pages.
I was of the impression that would be a little expensive.

It certainly would be easy to wipe down if you got some cooking mishap on it.

I'll follow through on the cost of laminating..
