AUSTRALIAN WOMBAT HAGGIS

INGREDIENTS:

lx      Oven set to 509 dg. celcius
lx      Good size baking dish
lx      Very Sharp Knife
lx      Needle and Cotton
Lots of Chux Supawipes
Garlic, cloves, oatmeal, suet, salt/pepper to taste
lx      Home Tanning Kit (For hide)
lx      Kitchen Blender
lx      Big Sink or Bathtub (For skinning)
lx      Wcmbat (Preferably alive, but a fresh road-kill will do)

METHOD:

Knock Wombat out (if not already dead, although sometimes it’s
hard to tell).
Kill Wombat gently, (with passion, if possible, so as not to stress)
Skin Wombat, set aside until later, and, using the Very Sharp Knife,
extract stomach and empty contents.
Also insert slit in Stomach (about 6 to 12 inches)
Then, methodically and gently, so as not to alarm Wombat in case
death has not yet completely taken over, remove kidneys, liver,
heart, brains, spleen, and lungs.
Discard rest of carcass (useless)
Chop these items up and place in blender with other ingredients.
Start blender.
Stop blender.
Place lid on blender and start blender again.
Use Chux to clean up mess.
Add blended Wombat Parts and condiments to the Stomach bit, and
sew up using needle and thread.
Place in Baking dish, and put in Oven for 6 hours.
Remove from Oven and garnish yourself with lots of Brandy, before
consuming.

Bon appeteit!!!

This old family recipe was given to me many years ago by  a complete maniac living in Innisfail by the name of Darryl Tinney.

I will leave it to experienced cooks to convert this to a Camp Oven method.
