I would love to see pics from a civil war re-enactment that you've been in.  I understand this, I think.  Once upon a time I was quite the fan of Matthew Brady.

Again, a Griswold 10" , hmmmmmmmmm, it that a Tite Top?  I have a Griswold 12" Tite Top.

Have you been to the Lodge Factory Outlet in Tennessee?  I have an e-friend who used to live near there.

Cool

Well now, have a look around each of our posts and you'll see clues about us.

Under my avatar, you have a saying from Robert Frost that tells you something I like to do, then below that my total posts, then my location.

The Maritimes.ca  ".ca"  is a somewhat restrict domain url for Canadian sites.  The Maritimes are Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island.  (if you add Newfoundland & Labrador, then you say Atlantic Canada).   I 1/2 think that people from the States think "CA" = Calif.

Re. Camp Chef, may I suggest RVing Outpost :  http://www.rvingoutpost.com/cooksupplieslist.php?department=Dutch%20Ovens

Julie Mik, who runs it is a member here.  I got my first DO/CO from Julie,

Re. pics, you can attach them here.  Actually either in the Let's Chew the Fat or Campgrounds areas might be good for the Civil War ones.

& there is a section for Camp Ovens.

But I'll send you a pm with my email addy.

Cool

Welcome to you Rebelcook and good to have some American cooking ideas here as well..

Just for our ova the water friends the term DUTCH OVEN usually refers to pulling the blankets up and dropping a rippa ...so we do laugh when we hear the term... In Australia that is..

Grrr!!! Wink

Al you need is a photo that is less than 100 X 100 in size.

Go to your control panel, then options.  At the top you will see the section for Avatars.  Click on the box to show you have your own photo.  Then click on Browse to select the photo then upload it and save.

That is a Bedourie Camp Oven made of spun steel. They are manufactured by Bill Thompson at Southern Metal Spinners.  I know he has sent to the US before but freight like everything is expensive.

...

Check out his site at http://www.southern-metal-spinners.com.au/ or email him at sales@southernmetalspinners.com.au

Let him know I sent you to him.
