You really have to laugh at what people are prepared to pay for things on E-bay.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=2...

This product BCF is selling for $199 new and if you go to Anaconda will bet that price by 10%, shame I don't have an Anaconda near me.

I thinking about getting one of these as the one we had I left behind at Point Plomer, it was one of those pop up ones that you have to fight to get back into the bag, don't want one with poles either this one is like the delux gazebo it just pulls out Scissor action.

I know it's not cheap but at least it stopped the arguments when putting it up and it only takes a minute to set up.

Cheers

Hi Robbo,

I really want it for showers, I don't like cold showers.

Hubby keeps telling me it's the simplicity of camping, cold showers and all, funny I did notice last week he did not have one cold shower, could it have been someone was boiling hot water for showers.

I use the ladies of a day and a porta loo of a night, I'm not going to trip over a Goanna of a night going to the loo.

Cheers
Kate

Thats the go Kate. The missus and I like a bit of comfort too.
What do you use for your shower? (hot water). I use the solar bag showers you sit out in the sun. I've found they work quite well, you have to wait for dusk or even dark as they are a bit hot coming straight out of the sun.

Robbo.
Sorry 'ole mate. but going to have to tell you.
You keep on having a "dump in the bush" you are going to end up treading on one.
Methinks about the most disgusting and inappropriate post I have read for a while.
At least the Yowie buries his (have you ever stepped in one?
OK, you didn't say you do, but the encouragement is what P's me off.
Hope you get the message.

I do think Robbo's comment was tongue in cheek and no harm or offense meant.
I had a quiet chuckle and think your comment was uncalled for, Just my opinion.

I always take a dump in the bush but when I do my toilet kit consists of a small shovel, toilet paper and a bottle of waterless antiseptic hand cleaner.
I find a convenient log, dig a hole at least a foot deep, do the job, dispose of all waste in the hole and fill it in.

This is the rule if you camp with me and after camping at the same spot for 17 years I am yet to dig up a fossil.
This may be due to the fact each of us has their own dump area and recycle our convenient logs when we lay a log.
Yes I do agree with you that those who do the job and walk away are the most disgusting human beings alive, Nothing worse in my book.
Cheers Kev

I usually boil a billy and add it to 10 litres of cold water that takes the chill off the shower, ok it's lukewarm but I can handle that and it's enough water for both of us.

I do have 2 solar bags but they send me nuts, the hose keeps falling off and I end up with half a bag of hot water.

Usually use a 12volt shower but it gave up the ghost, plan B come into action one saucepan and a bucket of water makes for a good tub, also saved water.

Cheers

Kate,
If that is a submersible pump type 12V camp shower like mine it has a fuse in the plug end which goes into the car cigerete lighter, just remove the screw in the plug end & change the fuse, Wink Wink Wink Wink

Oh, & welcome back, good to hear from you again!!!

No, I am sorry Mike. The post was tongue in cheek, not in any way meant to offend.
I really should have added a disclaimer stating that I did not in fact condone the practice, being the ever increasingly politically correct world that we live in.
I myself make use of a chemical toilet (disposed of appropriately)where facilities are not provided.
As for getting the message......mmmmmm.....I got one.
