Hi all

My wife and I arrived home from our first trip in the new camper.
We went to Bigriggen Park via Rathdowney this was also my wifes first camping trip in a bush setting unpowered.
We arrived on the 27/12/08 left on 29/12/08 just a short trip even though it rained each day and night my wife realy enjoyed it and wants to go back again some other day for a trip. While we were there we had a look at Andrew Drynan Park on running creek road aswell and we want to try that park aswell 1 day. I am going to try and post some photos of our trip.

yours excited_newbie and wife

Doesn't look too busy, though it looks like you are camped near the kiosk. Or are the photos deceiving? Smiley

Good on you e_n.
Now you have broken the ice, so to speak you will be looking for every excuse to getaway.
Great pics. too.
Did you achieve any C/O cooking whilst you were out there? Can be difficult this time of year, fire restrictions et.
We are about to leave for a week or so camped on a friends property, after the rain we have had the fishing (cod & yellowbelly) should be quite hot.
The C/O's and "right elbow" will get a workout though, we expect visitors!

The setup looks great, EN.  It looks like a nice spot too.  You wife looks very comfortable!

We are heading off in a few days too.  I am very much looking forward to it as we haven't been away for ages.

Is this the camp ground near Mt Barney? If so, I had a look at it some time last year.  It looks huge.  If I remember correctly there were a couple of houses there as well, but they weren't anything really flash.  Am I thinking of the same place?
