I wish I could find the reference. Others on here could help out with dates and such but, I think C. Harding was the Father and the foundry passed onto C.C. Harding which was one of the sons.
That would make your ovens older as they preceded the handing on.

From my research I have never agreed that the Albion foundry closed in 1907 but rather in the early 1920's when it was dismantled and became part of United Metal Industries in Brisbane.

I have an old sales catalogue for Aga Rayburn stoves, probably from the late 1960's (dimensions shown in metric).

On the back page is shown camp ovens, 254, 305, 356mm (4.5 - 10.8kg.) which would equate to 10,12 & 15".

Of interest to me is the picture which looks identical to a Metters, legs, ears and lid.

Also listed is a picture of Potjie pots, listing 9 sized 3/4 - 14 the smallest 2.95kg. the largest 23.81kg.

but I still wonder how many foundries took plugs from popular size ovens and such and cast them under their name...just wondering.

KB, He has it the wrong way around as the 053 number was the old phone number. Also I have a 17" C Harding and Sons oven still with the old 053 phone number. In that linked thread BillyBushCook has photos of 17" ovens with both the old and new phone numbers. Interesting as maybe the C Harding ovens with the 053 phone numbers were made during the time that the name change occurred on the ovens.

Okay, I just realised that my 10 and 13 are both CC Harding with 053 phone number whilst my 15 and 17 are both C Harding with 053 phone as well.
