We have had quite a few new members in the past couple of months who have never posted on the forum.

I know there is a wealth of information to browse through on here and we really do welcome you to do so but it would be just great to hear from you all as well.

Kind regards

Derek

I own several Yahoo Groups in various and very different topics.
Lurkers are fine,  not everybody is a message poster,  but agree Derek if they could wave hand in air say once a month and make some comment.
In one particular group every three months I ask members to wave hand in air  (I am still here) or be deleted.  We call it culling. Also known as getting the hatchet out. Iwould rather have a group with 100 active members than agroup with 300 members of which 200 are defunct.
The problem for all Group and Forum 0wners is knowing if people still have an active email address or are defunct.  If defunct they can be deleted.  Sometimes I email them and ask them if they or dead or alive, if it bounces they get the hatchet!  But this is all time consuming for Group/Forum Moderators.  If 'dead' members could be so kind enough as to cancel there Group/Forum membership would help.
Maybe you need to do some culling Derek?
Get the hatchet out, seasoned of course before using the first time.

David I am not really interested in deleting any memberships and am happy for people to just browse and return on the odd occasion. Have only ever deleted one membership and he requested it.  Something to do with Yowies.  Lips Sealed

We have members on here who just sit back and watch for a while then post occasionally.

The Big Fella is a typical example of what I mean.  Registered nearly two years ago but didn't get involved for a very long time.

This is just a friendly request for folks to say hello.

I got in pretty much the same as usual, but I am noticing some upgraded changes, like number of people viewing each area...  noice!!!

A furphy, is Australian slang for a rumour, or an erroneous or improbable story.  You would never get anything but the plain honest dinky-di truth here... I promise!!!!  Yup, hand on my heart, promise, true blue, uh-huh true dinks, dead set!!
