I wonder if, when you open the pages, you get blown around???

Last two times I was in Cooktown, it was blowing a gale.... and the locals seemed to be telling me it was "normal"....

A furphy, is Australian slang for a rumour, or an erroneous or improbable story.  You would never get anything but the plain honest dinky-di truth here... I promise!!!!  Yup, hand on my heart, promise, true blue, uh-huh true dinks, dead set!!

Cooktown is a bloody windy place and in fact when I was working for QLD Health as a maintenance manager I had to arrange for the roof of the hospital (Colour bond green) to be repainted as the prevailing wind and air born particles of sand had "sandblasted" the paint off one side of all the ripples in the iron on the roof. Emergency Services also have problems landing the rescue helicopter in the grounds because of the wind blowing off Mt. Cook nearby.. so yes it is a very windy place is Cooktown..

Grrr!!! Smiley Tongue

...
I love small, furry, defenseless little animals - especially in gravy!!!

A bargain Derek. If I had spotted it, we would have been bidding against each other!
