Anybody used a CI camp oven in a Weber?

Is a Weber suitable to season cast iron?

And just for Rastas, do Jaffles work on a Weber?

According to the writings of Rastas - I MUST have a Weber Barbecue Beeper Digital Thermometer......sheesh were camp ovens ever like this?

David

What is the big boxy thing underneath on the right hand side.  My Weber is just the big kettle.

I am not sure what temp they get up to But I don't think it would be hot enough to get that really black patina from a high heat seasoning.

No reason why you cannot cook in a camp oven inside it.

It hinges out to the right (in the pics) and is a storage bin for anything, I put half a 10kg bag of heat beads in it together with a box of firelighters.
btw the Barbecues Galore website list this at $799.00  + $60 pre delivery assembly, Tmba BBQ Galore price was $729.00 off the floor display model already assembled.

Very schmik I would say.  I have had some beautiful meals out of my Weber. Alas now being single and no children at home it rarely gets the cover taken off it.

Would suggest you invest in a great book called "The Complete Australian Barbecue Kettle Cookbook" by Ross McDonald and Margaret Kirkwood.

There are a few currently on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/The-Complete-Australian-Barbecue-Kettle-Cookbook-BOOK_W0Q...

It really gives you some great ideas and recipes for the Weber.

It was tucked inside the Weber as part of the deal......................
Agree, brilliant book. A classic even.

The Primus gas cylinder in front of the boxy thing is to ignite the heatbeads, not sure if I will go this way or use the Heatbead Chimney until I have a fiddle. Other option is to use firelighters.
