Anybody used a CI camp oven in a Weber?

KD we do frequently, I use the CIO as a roasting dish (lid off) as you would in a normal situation, normally it is the Cast Iron Oven that fulfills the role of oven, but when using the Weber it is the Weber that is the oven and the cast iron is just a different material roasting dish, I will cook a stew in the Weber in the CIO (lid on).

When using the Weber to cook and cook with cast iron containers it is a gentler method of cooking and well suited to 4-6 hour slow roast or stews.

Don't waste a day, not while your breathing.

Made a discovery today!!!
Bunnings stock "COCOCHEF" Grill Brikettes.
Same as Cobb Cobble Stones, but smaller, about the size of a HeatBead.
$4.25 for a 2kg box.

And Bob said I must have the Weber "Q" Barbecue, so I may have to obey his instructions.  Sure looks good and frees up some options of the Weber kettle.  Best of both worlds. The "Q" Webers seem the best cutting edge stuff with gas.
So may have a collection of Webers soon! Like Jaffles.........

Bloody Hell Dave.. Your missus is gonna have my gutz for garters and my dangly bits as ear-rings the way you are going!!  (I am sure the "jaffle iron goodwill" will only last soooo long"....

As it happens, I do not seem to remember phrasing my words in quite such a fashion... BUT, if it works without injury to me, then I am OK with it.....

David, unless you particularly want a gas barbecue, why not get the barbecue plate for your other Weber and use that.
