Just found this site http://www.orgran.com/ after chasing up "Powdered egg" - was unable to get what I wanted but was directed to this stuff - EGG FREE and became curious about their products so GOOGLED their site - Havva Squizz at this - loox very very interesting...

Let me know what comments you have, if you have used the products etc and if so what you think of them.I will try the pancakes and pikelets to see how they turn out...

Grrr!!! Smiley

Yep, I have seen these products at the Supermarket but not having any allergies, that I know of, have never taken a close look at them.

A lot of budgie breeders feed their young birds egg powder for protein.  Wink

The main reason I was looking for this is for egg replacements in cooking where I did not need to drag eggs along to cook with.. EG I can prepare pancakes, pikelets and the like as a dry mix pre done b4 I leave home... Takes up way less room, is lighter and lasts indefinitely.

1 packet of egg free is equivalent to 66 whole eggs so the value is there as well at $3.80..

CD, I am watching with great interest.  Generally I take my dry ingredients pre packed in cliploc bags but still take the eggs and milk.  This could make a world of difference.

Also thinking of getting one of those vacuum sealer's so I can seal packets of dry ingredients and also cryovac meat.

Hold that thought Derek, My butcher tells me that there will be allot of second hand machines on the market soon,
Seems that OH&S has come up with another bright idea here!! Shocked Shocked Shocked
They now require operators to undergo a course & the regulations surrounding the Cryovac process are going to get a whole lot more difficult to manage!! Cheesy Grin Embarrassed Embarrassed (for commercial use of course)

I am wondering if we can get a vacuum sealing machine as a co-op style of arrangement, for products other than raw meat (to avoid the technicle stuff)..

I would be interested in a share...  We used  cryovac to package emergency supplies in caches in the bush for a long time...

A furphy, is Australian slang for a rumour, or an erroneous or improbable story.  You would never get anything but the plain honest dinky-di truth here... I promise!!!!  Yup, hand on my heart, promise, true blue, uh-huh true dinks, dead set!!
