I must say the trade on ebay appears to be tapering off a little.

I don't expect he is doing anything with them. They look like they have been gone a looooooong time. He is just selling them the way he got them.

It wasn't uncommon to cut the legs off years ago so that people could use them as a pot on top of a combustion stove.
