I'm also interested in Bendigo pottery however I'm not sure how one could really relate it to the general banner of camp oven cooking.  Undecided

Nope, I agree with the others so please no more pottery posts other than in the Chew The Fat as it is for matters other than Camp Oven Cooking.

Not a camp oven, but the principle is the same.
I bought a lovely large Bendigo Pottery lidded casserole on eBay, said to have no chips or cracks, cost $50 + $16 postage:

Just to refresh your minds, the original post was made to describe a dispute between an eBay buyer and seller regarding cracks in an item sent through the mail.  Hoping that the eBay dispute procedure may benefit others.  The fact that it is a non cast iron pot is irrelevant.
For the benefit of ebaysians (only just learnt this term) my claim has reached the point where I am talking to real people not automated computer stuff! Around 4.30pm yesterday I received an email from a real PayPal person with a real personal phone number and Fax number.  So was able to take my claim a stage further by Faxing an independant report from an Antique shop with a picture showing the cracks.
Hoping this may help others who find themselves in a dispute with an eBay seller.

Watching several of the ovens presently for sale on eBay and while I would never ever ever suggest that things were a bit suss but one person shows up as having six successive bids on one oven, the same person is also bidding on a couple of the others, coincidence ??
