The Albion has a repair job on it which is a shame Sad
It's just not the same when they have been repaired.

If I could find a Metters 12 like that one you posted for the scones.
It is a beauty.
Good black finish on it..
Very Photogenic..

Thanks Aart
She is a beautiful pot. The old girl has certainly seen a few camp fires in her day. My earliest recollections of this pot, was when I was around 3 or 4 years of age, watching my grandfather cook with it up at Lake Charm (near kerang) during a duck opening weekend.

I see Astro is advertising a cousin of the pot I bought new in the early 80's. My 'knockabout pot' has had a hiding over the years and it's still going strong. They're a top little cooking pot and a good versatile size at 14", particularly if ya only want to take one CO away campin.  Cool

For those CI Gurus in the know..
Do the base and lid make a matching pair.
Oe are they mismatched?

Yes they do in this case Aart.  UMI were the former Albion mob at Maryborough.  When they started making the UMI bases they put Albion lids on them.

I did recall a post some time back outlining that association.
Thanks for clarifying mate
