15" Furphy sold for $275.00.
You can buy these in camping shops, how does this price compare to a camping shop?

This also puzzles me.  Why is someone in Central Victoria constantly selling NEW Furphy camp ovens on eBay?
Been watching this for many months, since last year. Could it be Furphy themselves? They always have the Furphy cook book with it.

I have noticed that too David. It even be someone who has 'in house' contacts with Furphy.

My take on it is that " the someone" saw an opportunity a couple of months ago to make a $  when the Furphy jaffle irons were selling so well. (He sold quite a few at ridiculously inflated prices)
He sourced a supplier and has been taking advantage of people's ignorance about the price and origin of the current Furphys being made in China. Caveat emptor.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

I dont see anything puzzling about it ....as PD says.....someone saw an opportunity..........Hes making money. A simple case of supply and demand. Hes probably just buying in bulk from Furphy which anyone can do by making a phone call. I know for a fact that they will give discount on multiple purchases if you ask. The Number is (03) 5831 2777.

Around $149.00 I think from memory I've seen them in many camping stores for that price. Makes you wonder who actually buys these ovens?? It's crazy.

Yep I agree.  The guy has found a market and making good dough from it.  Nothing wrong with that.

The most I have seen for a 15" in a shop was $155.
