I always thought an oven without legs was worthless but nowadays I take a legless 12" Etna with me camping, besides being a lovely oven it sits on a horse shoe stand without any drama. Horses for courses.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Kate, those stumpy legs are typical of Furphy.

Some of the 15 inch Furphys have legs that are a bit longer....these ovens have a inside diameter of roughly 15 inches ....the ones that are 15 inch outside diameter have the short legs from what Ive seen, I have both types.

I use an amputee 12 inch railway oven a lot at home , it gets used on both the wood fire in winter and the gas cook top, its perfect for cooking a lot of things, Curry's and Risottos and just to name a couple.

You don't see one of these on Ebay everyday.
At current prices Id say it will go for a lot of money.

I knew they existed and only ever seen them on the old Furphy Brochure.

Have never seen actual photos before.

I was looking at eBay before for a legless camp oven.

There is currently a 10 inch Chinese made Furphy on there with a current bid of $542 with 3 days still to run.

Amazing  Shocked
