NOT HAPPY JAN ! ! ! ! !

A little while ago I pulled up outside my house and was about to reverse up the driveway as I always do and my neighbour tried to zoom between the back of me and the kerb. I ripped up the side of him. My towbar is at an odd angle and the wheel cover sustained some damage. He got quite a bit of damage to his car.

Have contacted the insurance and have it booked in for repairs.  This may mean that I won't be able to make it to the COG.  Should know the outcome early in the week.

KD

btw while coming back from the Jondaryan Woolshed today we checked out a camp ground Beryl has known and used since 1970, at Bowenville East of Dalby, 3.5kms to the Southern side of the highway, ie turn left at Bowenville approaching Dalby from the East, it is run by the Dalby Council and is huge, right on the bank of the Condamine River, lots of fires seen despite several signs saying "No open fires", several motorhomes in and one guy cooking with a camp oven on a tripod, the site is known a a roadside stop I think, has toilets but no showers, anybody else been there? Has potential for a SE Qld COG.  Cannot see it in any guide books.

David, it is only an hour from home so should be able to be there during the days.

I just need to make sure the bolts holding the towbar on are still secure.  Was the tow bar that smashed into his door.

Well bad news regarding the towbar.  Significantly bent tongue, stressed bolts and cracks in welds so the whole thing will need replacing.  Not able to tow the camper with it and cannot be repaired until next week.

I have also been a bit crook this week, saw the doc today.  Taking all into consideration will only be able to make it for the full Saturday and part of the evening.  I'll be there not long after daylight.

Bit of a bugga because been looking forward to this for ages.
