Ok got it, where do I get one.

Just keep an eye out at bric-a-brac markets and garage sales..  Ebay is a good source, but let us know if you are bidding so we stay away...

Or if you want a CI one, go to any camping store and they will have a square (COI brand) mad in china, but they work pretty well...

A furphy, is Australian slang for a rumour, or an erroneous or improbable story.  You would never get anything but the plain honest dinky-di truth here... I promise!!!!  Yup, hand on my heart, promise, true blue, uh-huh true dinks, dead set!!

can they produce a meal (willing to be shot down),

Hey Michaelb.....I can remember nights sitting around SBB's pile of bricks with a few jaffle irons, a loaf of bread and all different types of fillings....everyone made their own jaffle and cooked it over the coals.....the kids loved it and so did we....washed down by a few rumms  Cheesy

It's nice to get the kids involved Kez, when we have the G'kids stay I do waffles or pancakes on a griddle and they demolish them quicker than I can make'em. Easy way to fill them up.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Hi Lil,
have you tried the Bundy Red? Real nice drop but too easy to drink too many.
I believe they use Red River Gum to filter it but not sure about that.

All the best

These are my old time favourites, and they were made in Round With different handles..

(from page 1 of this thread)

I picked up one of these Toasty's on the weekend for zilch. got it thrown in with some other stuff.

there is one (with the red @ blue wooden handles) on ebay  for 60 bucks, so I did allright.

Thinking of using it this weekend for the beef challenge.

I picked up another near identical Jaffle iron today (one has round rods, one has square rods)

for $10. So with my freebie, I have two of these for $ 5 each.

Pinched your photo Rastas. will add one of mine soon.
