Found this informative site by accident today.
Some good info to be found here.

In July 2001, a group of South Africans organized a Potjiekos Competition (cook-off) in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Since then the event grew into a weekend of camping with games, beer tasting competition, lamb on a spit and many more to do. We try to have it on the Civic long weekend (first weekend in August) and the venue changes every year.

Just bought a South African Cadac Potjie No 3.
Not received yet but pic attached.
The lid looks like a high dome vintage Australian pot.
I have also taken on an Australian Dealership for them so anybody interested please PM KD off Forum.
Price is very good and cheaper than some similar alternatives.
