I just bought one .......................from same place as SBB.
It appears to be a virtual Internet mail order store.
An interesting site.

Came home today to find a message on my Phone Message Machine from Satooz (I worked out eventually).
Played it several times and could not understand a word. Then thought, hang on that sounds South African, played it several times more and could just distinguish "order how many pots".  Could not understand her name or the company name, but the number was fairly clear, so on an instinct called the number.
I did notice this when placing the order, it glitched and I had to press the order button three times to get my "Cart" to order.
She had three orders for three of em................
Told her I only want one!
Phew lucky she did not debit my MasterCard x 3!
That heavy Afrikander accent is just amazing!
I also asked her how to pronounce Potjie, still none the wiser!  SBB any advice?

KD

btw it is an Internet store only.

Found this interesting  African cooking site and bought an ebook from them:

"Blending the different cultures, traditions and ethnic groupings of Africa into one AFRI CHEF AFRICAN RECIPES COOK BOOK, which contains recipes from almost every African country, has produced a unique African Recipe book that reveals the story of Africa through its cooking and ethnic recipes."

Just had a look at that site and subscribed to their newsletter.  I like the bit at the end of the welcome. I have never seen a fat Ethiopian.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

In South Africa, a potjie, directly translated "small pot" from Afrikaans, is a traditional round, cast iron, three-legged (tripod) pot. It is similar in appearance to a cauldron and is usually black. It is used to cook potjiekos over an open fire.

Potjie can also refer to the technique of cooking potjiekos. This tradition originated in the Netherlands and was brought to South Africa by Dutch immigrants. It persisted over the years with the Voortrekkers and survives today as a traditional Afrikaner method of cooking.

Potjie is also used as an abbreviation of potjiekos. Among the South African tribes these pots also became known as phutu pots.
