David I missed this message, they had various sizes for sale but use some of the big ones for exhibitions and activities they attend and cook for.

Good one Jack
How did you do the chicken on a trivet or just in the bottom with the veges around it. I will give mine a run this coming week.

I sent this on to Jack after he bought his Potjie, not sure if this was the method he used but I used it for my # 2 Best Duty and it turned out well after three sessions:

Curing Instructions - Potjie Pots ::
Fill 2/3 of the pot with water.
Add 200 ml vinegar and boil for 1 hour.
Let the pot cool down and empty it and use sandpaper as a scourer.
Repeat the above process, this time adding vegetable leaves ie. Carrot, potato skins, cabbage etc instead of vinegar. Again scour the pot until it is smooth as you can get it.
Wash and dry it well and grease the insides with cooking oil. Always wash the pot thoroughly after use and grease immediately to prevent rusting.
