Another great COG.  Looks like another sunny day coming up.   Who would have believed it after the weather on the way down.

I was too busy cooking yesterday and a few equipment glitches slowed me down.

Some of you are here in spirit.

Aart - the prawn recipe
Rastas - The Moroccan Lamb and the jaffle iron left overs for lunch.
BBC - the Naan Bread recipe and I brought a print out of your book.
Sundryed - Everyone loved the Bushmans pickles.
Skip - Michael made some great Biltong from your recipe.
Today Sue is making Dereks self saucing pudding.

I tried to think what I have like best laast night and I cant honestly decide.  It was great to sit at the rustic wooden plank table with extensions and have 8 black pots each with its own unique dish inside to feast upon.  Glasses of wine, friendly folk, a good fire isnt that always the way at these functions?

I made yesterday:
Almond & Carrot Strudels
Baked Scotch Eggs - a heathier version than fried
Naan Bread (much better with more yoghurt)  Cheesy
Dessert Pizza (too sweet) biscuit crust, cherries topped with mini marshmellows and almonds and toasted with the blow torch.
Morocan Lamb Shanks
I put out the pickles and they were very well recieved.

Sparky made his special kind of soup and even the boys came back for seconds.

I was far too busy to take photos but I know others did.

Clear sky today and no breezes so it looks like another great one.

No fish and no swimming yet but we were down to T Shirts yesterday.

I am so glad we came.

Treasures along the way, well thats someone elses story and I will leave it to them.

Sunday was another perfect day here and today looks the same, who would have believed a COG in the middle of winter in Victoria would have had such champagne weather.

OJ and Michael will get photos up asap.  I have taken very few.

Although the food pace slowed a little yesterday, Michael and the boys had a big breakfast and the boys finished off the cookies.

Lunch was all kinds of left overs, I made a new dessert which was a Orange and Blueberry bread and butter pudding with a cointreau and orange marmalade topping which everyone liked. PD did a fruit damper and Michael and Dave made scones.

More Biltong and Sundryed Pickles were brought out for nibbles.

For dinner I cooked the sticky Korean Chicken from Youtube which I posted previously, Micheal made pizzas, this was added to with left overs and fresh cooked veggies by PD and Sue who is a wonderful addition to the forum with heaps of expertise on camp oven cooking and cooking made a light as a feather self saucing pudding from Derek's recipe. Of course cream was added to it.

A perfectly still moonlight night by the river, with a large fire and a drink or two formally finished off yet another great COG.

Last lot for this south of the border COG.  My fingers are wearing down on the keyboard!

After food comes the bush TV and bevies with lots of yarning.  Roll Eyes

...

This one is out of sync.  Cooking into dark.

...

Had to find space for this.  Michaels leftover pasta and prawns going into pastry.

...

and the result.

...

I finally got to capture the Wedge Tailed Eagle flying after many attempts (arrow) and I'm not sure if it's eying of the other red feather in the picture?  Wink

...

Last of all.  The complete group.  An amazing and enjoyable weekend.

...
