It turned out really well (even if I do say so myself). This recipe is so easy to make from scratch and u only need a spoon to mix it......so go on have a go....it does make a large serve!

Derek you men are all the same NEVER LISTEN Cheesy

Quote:
Sue who is a wonderful addition to the forum with heaps of expertise on camp oven cooking and cooking made a light as a feather self saucing pudding from Derek's recipe. Of course cream was added to it.

Aart the parcels looked good and were eaten, there was only a couple of cupfuls left over, it was enjoyed as usual.  As always  when you have 8 great dishes its impossible for it all to be eaten in one sitting.  I thought Michaels idea of the parcels with the left overs for lunch great.

Sparky doesnt have a recipe for soup and it varies slightly from time to time but I will ask him to write out an approximation.  Cheesy

MARCUS NEIMAN FURPHY COOKIES

(Recipe may be halved):

2 cups butter (MUST BE BUTTER NO SUBSTITUTE)
4 cups plain flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal and blend in blender to a fine powder)
24 oz. chocolate chips  (680 GRAMS)
1 tsp. salt
1 8 oz. Hershey bar (grated)    (227 GRAMS dark chocolate bar)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)  (Carolyn only uses Walnuts & preroasts them)
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla;
mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, gratedHershey bar and nuts.
Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Makes 112 cookies..
