A suggested site for a COG.  We called in for a night on the way home from the VIC COG. We didnt explore the whole area but left that if we go back again for a NSW COG.

A big spacious area.  There are plenty of drop toilets, it had a slight slope but was hard and mostly grassy especially for winter. Tap hard water is available but the advice is for it to be boiled for consummation.  Playground for kids. Various kinds of fire places here and there, a few bench tables with seats.  Dogs allowed. The bird sounds were actually recorded there and there were more that I missed.

This looks a nice spot to stop anytime.  Wonder if it is always as deserted as you found it...

Lady Joanella there was one car with one person and one dog when we arrived but they left almost immediately.  We were there on a Thursday night.   You can only wonder how its used as it certainly is a large area, some of the comments on the visitors book made unfavourable comments about the "empty" spaces.

Aart not sure about the wood situation there was plenty around the various fireplaces for us for that night and in the morning.  Its run by a forestry group so it would be prudent to check with them for a big group and see if they supply more.

KD not all Red Hatters are as outspoken as Lady Joanella and myself  Cheesy how would you know just who is or isnt one amongst the many new members and even more lurkers who read this forum?  Many of us have hidden disguises I think  Lips Sealed

Strange people .......Ive never found anything unfavourable about too many empty spaces in a camping area.......quite the opposite realy.

We are located an hour or so away and we called in to check it out on our way hame from Sydney earlier this year after it was mentioned as a possible GOG site. There was about 15 vans and a few campers looked like a great spot.
