Hi all, John here, finally got kids off so I could write a message. How good is this web site for us cast iron chefs. I come from Wollongong, south of Sydney and have traveled most of this great country of ours and have been cooking in camp ovens for around 2 yrs now. Have competed at Trundles bush tucker day last year winning the main course section and took out over-all winner at the camp cooking challenge at Albion Park this year, just south of Wollongong. We are off to Trundle in 2 weeks to try again. I am currently the president of the newly formed camp cooking club down here in Wollongong. We chose that name so it takes in all types of camp kitchen cooking, as I have a weber made of beer kegs and can't seem to stop cooking in it at the momment. We also are on face book at camp cooking club INC, so please check us out. We hold cooking sessions at the Illawarra Light Rail Museum, where we intend to set up our home base with a permanent camp kitchen site. The club caters for beginners as well as those who have been cooking this way for along time, cause in this game you can always learn something.
