I like my fishing, but as a north Queenslander, I don’t think I could survive fishing in that cold a place, fish or no fish. Smiley

For the swimming part, yes, that is a spoof.  People do the dip after a sauna bath, a few of them. but that no, that's a spoof.

Here's one that's real:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_X1hdKY7Vc&feature=related

Nice one LK

As you would be aware, fishing at temperatures below zero can at times, be problematic and frustrating.

A few years ago in late May, when I was spin fishing in freezing temperatures at Rocky Valley Reservoir ( North East Victoria).

I caught a nice rainbow trout on my third cast for the morning.  Cheesy

On my fifth cast, I hooked into a REALLY nice rainbow  Cheesy Cheesy

and at that point, I was beginning to think that I was in store for some great fishing,  Grinhowever while playing the fish, the water adhering to the line, snap froze the line to the runners and also to the drum of the reel.  Angry

Of course once this happened, I lost the fish and after several unsuccessful attempts to thaw the line I had to call it a day.  Cry Cry Cry
