Hi yes the Scandia oven was cast in perth i think they went bust in the late 60s or early 70s
I will find out the next few days as my dads mate worked there and he is a bit of a historian

That information would be great to have Eddy.

I noticed the Scandia's in the photos are legless, were they manufactured with legs? Smiley

SJ, yes the ovens did have legs, A little bit longer then Furphys stubs, the small one that I have as had the legs cut off, but the 14 inch is still intact  Smiley

This foundry closed down sometime  in the sixties , but I am still to find out ware it was in Perth

I have taken this from a copy of the "WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE" ,dated 27 January1965.

...

So we now know the Foundrys Addy was - Ladner Street ,O'Connor,Western Australia, and it was still casting in the mid 60's . Smiley

The Foundry is also mentioned in another copy of the "WESTERN AUSTRALIAN INDUSTRIAL GAZETTE" Schedule list of respondents dated Oct,1977.
