I was given a great idea today.  These mango/fruit/cream blocks could be put in a jug with some vodka and crushed ice and blitz and drank.

And some say women are nags  Cheesy

Bob I didnt have any crushed ice and the bamix struggled.  I not much of a measurer or drinker and I think I over did the vodka.  I was uncertain whether to use the vanilla or the plain but settled on the plain.

...

The recipe:

4 ice cubes approx. of crushed ice preferrable
Unmeasured vodka about 1" in the jug
1 homemade mango ice cream block or weiss bar
Blitz
Enjoy

Now if Sparky arrives home before I sober up you know who the finger of blame will be pointing at!!!!

Wheeeee I wonder if I could do that jumping trick the boys were doing on tv last night and fly from the balcony down to the water for a swim  Grin Grin Grin

Raastas you can relax the party was over before he got home.  He has decided its too hot to camp this time of year especially when the rivers are down and with the fire ban was pleased he had his Thermal Pot dinner.

Since making this I have seen another recipe using 1 tin of condensed milk, 1/2 tin of cream and 1/2 tin of Malibu with a couple of pureed mangoes.  I will save that up for Christmas so if you cant wait for the results try it yourself.

Here is how I describe making them Lil, no need for exactness:

1 large carton of extra creamy vanilla icecream the best you can find
1 large bottle pure cream
1 large can fruit salad including juice
Several mangoes cubed (and this year I will puree some and swirl through it as well)
6-12 passionfruit (if you can afford them)
2 at least punnets strawberries quartered or 8th (they freeze hard so not too big)

Mix cream into soften icecream and then gently the fruit.

Then fold in the tin fruit and juice dont mix it thoroughly.

Spread about 1" high in rectangular containers and when not completely frozen hard cut into blocks.  If you forget just let it soften a bit before cutting.

This year I put them in small clip lock bags and thats working well as they catch any drips.  We mostly have them after a swim so being messy doesnt matter.

From Nuttycake in the Caravaners Forum some variation ideas:

weis bars recipe..........l tin condensed milk, l tin water......3-or 4 mangoes pulped( use any fruit you like or even fruit salad). I always add about 1/2 cup cream or ice cream . it makes it a lot creamier or you can add ice cream on top when chilled.

Easy as.

if you want to do some for the adults....... use 1/2 tin of water but add 1/2tin of Malibu

or try mixed fruit and 1/2 tin of chocolate milk and 1/2 cup rum..
