   in shop 5days ago came across bedourie oven but 10ins deep
   never seen before /wanted $42 and rusty /has anyone seen one this deep before

Yeah it sounds like it might have been a Hillbilly or similar. What the hell Daryl go and offer him $20.00 and buy it anyway. it will clean up, they always do.

   it was the same as my bedourie.  lid, handles, all the same but thought to pricy also had tiawan COs for $48 & $45 1with chip in lid
It may have been a hillbilly but rust put me off / rust that bad if you cleaned up might find pin holes/ sorry no phone so no pics Embarrassed

Sounds like an early model 12" Aussie Camp Oven.  Made by the same bloke who makes Bedouries.  I have one and the handles are the same as a Bedourie.
