No, you're right MW, it's KD who is confused, the Albion foundry was at Maryborough in Queensland. A couple of years ago I contacted the Maryborough Historical Society who sent me a whole lot of information about the Albion Foundry.  It closed in 1907 so if you have an Albion lid and matching base it 's well over 100 years old.  As Derek says after 1907 UMI ovens were made in Brisbane but used the Albion molds for the lids with the bases being branded UMI on the side, I have a couple, BTW, both Albion and UMI are good pots and very collectable.
Robbo, I have a nice 10" Albion lid or is it a 12" lid you're after ?

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

A bloody 12" I want PD, isn't it always the way?
Thanks anyway mate.
The base is a bit rusty, busted leg and has been used as a dogs water dish for donkeys but not deeply pitted and would come up great I reckon.

The lid and base are actually a pair and that is how they were sold. There are a few posts around on these. In a nutshell it is an old Albion.UMI took the moulds from Maryborough after the Albion Foundry shut down in the early 1900's.PD has the date.If you look closely at the logo under the lid it actually says Albion - Maryborough.

That is Maryborough Victoria.
Not Maryborough Qld.
In case anybody is getting confused!

KD ( easily confused)

KD, where did that come from?????????
