Not sure if I have shared any photos from Corio Bay on here before. Spent the last 3 days camped up there.

We put the tinny's in at Corbetts Landing and have to cart all the gear out to the Headland (Waterpark Point) via tinny. So its usually a take the bare minimum sort of trips.

Corio is a massive system with 5 major creek systems and alot of smaller ones all feed into it and head out to sea.

We got spooled a couple of times off the beach out the front of camp, Its up to 12 mtrs deep in that channel. Also managed 8 nice bucks which I'm happy with seeing the flogging it has had in the lead up to Christmas.

A really nice spot that hasn't been ruined yet. One of my favourites.

Only had my phone camera.

Photos bring back memories Jono.  Caught quite a few nice fish up in Corio when I lived at Yeppoon for a while.

Looks like you had a great weekend.

Geez Jono if you looked hard I reckon you could find "The Garden of Eden" there mate. What a brilliant place to be able to hang out.
Do you reckon you got spooled by sharks?

Robbo

Heaps of crabs coming on now mate, I guarantee crabs for Hedlow. Had about 130mm of rain since Boxing day, Its gunna stir em right up.

Skip

I reckon 1meter+ Barra are the culprits. Seen a pro set his nets off that beach a few years ago and caught a swag of big barra. We always seem to get done over off that beach. Usual story of taking all the big gear to nail these suckers and they always seem to smash the light gear.

Cheers
Jono

We have blue bottles around here, mainly after a soild few days of North Easterleys. Not enough Stingers (in general) around here to worry about, It has never been a reason not to go in the water.

Nice pics mate. Are you still using that little waterproof camera?
What brand was it?
