who's coming & whats cooking.

Kez and I will definatley be there Dave. Still working on what we are going to cook. But some ideas so far are Peanut Chicken Curry, sausage rolls again at some stage, Hot cross buns, Bread and rolls. was also thinking of doing roast leg of lamb, gravy and fresh bread rolls for lunch one day,

Trying to get organised and have been thinking that if eveyone does meat dishes like at previous COGs I will do vegies, nothing fancy, just a whole roasted pumpkin, maybe baked potatoes in foil in the coals, some greens and so on.....
Gotta have yer vegies to keep yer strength up.

Your making me hungry and sad...... Cry  Cry its just not fun cooking for two as for a crowd of appreciate foodies  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

I was hopeful for a moment as the MOTH had told me months ago we were going to Colo but got an email while away quering he wasnt on the poll list  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy we knew this gathering was full so I thought ..... oh dear we will just have to go to Broke ha ha ha.

But there must have been a cancellation and ....... we are number 50 the cut off number on the list........ Angry  Angry  Angry

A plus is Jenny who I met the last two Annual CT Gatherings has said her hubby who we are yet to meet will cook us a pork roast for Saturday night dinner so hopefully the MOTH might get the idea of what husbands are supposed to do  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy instead of slaving over a hot CO and CARVING!!!! I will be sitting back with a good glass of red and thinking of you all at Broke.  Cry  Cry  Cry

and the basic ingredients for what you want to cook, there's not much choice in the shop.

PD do you or others have any suggestions on where to stock up on food and drinks before or during the COG.??? By that I mean towns close to Broke with a choice of shops ect.

Carolyn cant ya just cancel the other thing Sad and come to Broke It'll be lots more fun Smiley Smiley

Thanks Lil and Rory but not possible  Cry  Cry  I have promised Rob I will be there as well as pleasing Sparky.  My cooking and sharing at Nyngan won me some brownie points, we left before the grand finale and Rob has not been able to catch up with me since even though Sparky has been to two CT gatherings.

G'day SBB, Singleton is 26 kms up the track, good shopping centre so a quick trip up there is not outta the question. There is a bottle shop and small convenience shop at Broke.
Looking forward to it, have started packing in anticipation wooohoo.
