As a castironitis sufferer and camp oven collector I hate leaving a swap meet or market empty handed so rather than have withdrawal symptoms I have been known to buy CI items like waffle irons, oval cast iron boilers, kettles and frying pans, I leave the Jaffle irons for Rastas.

Like you Nelson I have a Findlay (10") frying pan and have often wondered how it came to Oz, also have a pair of Lodge frying pans (10" & 12") which are brilliant, a couple of Furphy's and some big old unnamed pans which are good quality and nice to use.

Buying "lots" at auction often turns up some gems, when I sort thru a box I  find all kind of cast iron, I have found griddles, baking pans, odd CO lids, lead melting pots, lard renderers and camp ovens beyond repair as well as the good oven or two and an odd lid as well as the rubbish, makes life interesting.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Looks like the real deal Daryl looking at the box but I'll be honest, I've never seen one like it. Lodge are a good buy regardless.
