I have acquired a Stingless Bee hive off a friend of mine. Relocated it to my joint at night, all taped up to keep the bees in during transport. This happened last night. Now today after leaving them bee (haha) I have noticed that there are quite a few of them moving Honey/Pollen/beeswax whatever that yellow goo is out and flying off with it.

I hope they're not moving out, are they?

or

Are they just getting rid of bits that may have fell off during transport and messed up their nest?

Any help anyone? I kind of like em.

Cheers
Jono

I have 7 hives of native bees all in boxes. Lost one hive this year after splitting. I think your bees are just doing a bit of house keeping after the move, best don't look at them for a few days. Following are links that will have all the info you need.

Jono,

Found this on the web, a lot of info not sur eif it answeres your questionthough.

http://www.aussiebee.com.au/

I know that disturbing native bee hives when cutting firewood certainly attracts the european bees.  When trying to save the hive you have to make the access for the native bees as small as possilbe otherwise its gone.
