I basically used Carolyns recipe except I used Laucke bread mix as my base, and don’t make a sponge, I add some extra yeast though, and only use 1 ½ cups of water.
The crosses are self raising flour made into a paste.

They look excellent .....the ones I made at Thora didnt rise anywhere near as well as those.....I was in a hurry and think I made the mix to wet.

SBB the buns I made at Kidstone over the Easter weekend rose to high and the crosses browned of on the lid of the campoven, still tasted good though.

I did the crosses as I have before Cheesy

didnt work as good....must have been the cook Cheesy
