Hi All
Well we arrived back from our 2 weeks holiday camping saturday arvo.
I got 2 cleaning up the camper and unpacking the car the lovely Vina did her thing with the house now beautiful again. Well I never told u that I actually cancelled 1770 campgrounds because I started to get concerned about sandflies and mossies not to worry.

So we booked Woodgate beach for the same time and I contined to count down the weeks and days remaining. The big day arrived and we had the car and camper loaded ready for the trip left at 5.00 am on the sunday and on arriving at woodgate beach about 10.00 am.

I went into reception and found out that the people on the site we were to have where still there no problem we would wait. In the meantime my the beautiful Vina and myself walked in to have look at the site to see how we would place the camper well wouldn't you know the site is way to small for our camper and beside that there is this great big tree hanging over the whole site to low for the camper. Back to reception and told fraid we can't get camper on site too small would you have something else guess what!

Anyway thought go home because there wouldn't be a booking available for the period we want because this time of year alot of southerners come to Qld. for the winter so I made phone call to elliot heads caravan park closer to Bundaberg luck was with us that day park said there will be no problem fitting us in they still had a couple of sites left bingo. arrived set up and we had a lovely two weeks there nice and quiet park well layed back.

Well that is about the guist of it back to reality bugger!

Hi there Chris & Vina,

Pleased you enjoyed your holiday and it didn't get too windy.

I have stayed at that park several times but not for a few years. Last time I was there the park was run by a single Lady who did a sterling job.

I particularly like the vast amount of walking tracks around there, mmmmm must be due for another visit.

Thanks for the report

Regards Skip Smiley
