hi i have just receved a co
my ?is when useing heat beads do i sit them on straght on the beads or do i have to have the oven rest on some thing to hold it off the beads thank you

Yep, you don't want your oven smothering  the oxygen around your heat beads.

Anything that burns needs oxygen.

I'm with LK on this..only needs one inch or so clearance.
Allows a little breeze in there to keep them happy and hot.

I've tried the terracotta feet that you use for pot plants as a way of separating the beads from CO, works well.
