Very new to camp ovens but was wondering whether I can use it to heat pies and other pastry things that you would put in the oven at home.

Don't see why not Julie, sit them on a wire trivet in your oven and don't use too much heat, (top and bottom).

Why re-heat when you can Cook them from scratch & get a much better pie?

Cook from scratch if you have the time - if not just practice with using your camp oven as you would your oven at home - one of those metal oven thermometers can be helpful especially when a learner (which I still am).
The trivett and the thermometer are two of my campoven cooking best friends.
