Just as well I am thick skinned you wouldnt believe how many people dont believe how old Sparky is  Cheesy Cheesy

In NSW you get the official "Senors Card" at 60 and not a second before.  You are even warned not to send in prior.  "They" then take two weeks usually to post it to you.

Its the best thing about turning 60 $2.50 transport all day for a wide area of Sydney and outer areas.  Cheaper movies, free coffee at Maccas ROFL.........and more  Cheesy

Hi SBB,

I joined just before the Lostock Dam COG, it would have suited us down to the ground as I live in Newcastle, less than a 2 hour trip.
We will be making our best effort to attend the next one providing it's not too far out of our way.

We are off to Tassie with our trusty Aussie Swag Camper in Feb for 3 weeks, so it will all depend on when the next COG is, how far away and if I can get the time off from work. Roll Eyes

It would be good to put a face to the name, I have spoken to PD a few times on the phone, sounds like a great bloke as all who write here are more then friendly Smiley Smiley

I only work 5 days a week cause I cant afford to live on 4

You can retire here at 55 too, seldom with full pension though,  Also the federal programs, Canada Pension and Old Age Pension. won't be at full rate before 65 either.

Thank you Carolyn for giving me some idea what a seniors card does for you.

So, how do visitors over 65 get some of these discounts? eh!

Cool

G'day teemac.
Now here is an interesting way of approaching the subject:

You are 47, my age is the same numbers put the other way.
Add together, divide by 2 to get the average.  Wink

Hey presto --- 60 and a 1/2 is the result. Roll Eyes

Now I just wonder how close that might be? Huh

LK - you need a friend with a spare card and then just keep your mouth shut  Cheesy

Having grey hair helps also  Cheesy

My mother travelled every year to the US and my Auntie just said "Seniors" at various discount places and it was never queried.

Michael you look pretty good to me Smiley and what's more important your a good cook Smiley.  I am not giving family secrets away but subtle hair coloring can take approx. 5 years off.  More important to some than others.  Maybe next COG we could all bring colored wigs and test out this theory.
